The past six decades have seen the company expand the boundaries of jazz choreography while accentuating the genre’s signature joyfulness and vibrancy. They continue to embrace jazz’s complex history as a uniquely American expression of dance and have achieved world-class status as a respected and innovative dance company.

Giordano Dance Chicago brings their lively style to Hayes Hall, dancing to a number of new works by Emmy-winning choreographer Al Blackstone set to some of Gershwin’s most beloved melodies, including Embraceable You, I Got Rhythm and Rhapsody in Blue.
