Combine the beauty of nature with the joy of artistic expression in this 90-minute creative arts program for families! Children accompanied by an adult can explore the vibrant colors and textures of pastel art while surrounded by the Garden’s lush landscapes. This hands-on experience is a chance for families to create art together and learn the basics of pastel techniques as well as key elements of art, such as line and shape. This program includes a tour of the Garden to gather inspiration and knowledge of plants in our collection, followed with guided activities and creative exercises.

No previous art experience is necessary, and all materials are provided—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm! Participants ages 8 – 12 and their adult guardian can register in advance and each participant will take home a completed pastel piece.

Fee: $40 combo ticket for Members / $60 combo ticket for Non-Members – This includes admission and supplies for one adult and one child.
