“Brew for the Zoo” is back! This year Naples Zoo is teaming up Kaleidoscope Beer Company and Riptide Brewing Company to save panthers. Vehicular collisions present an ongoing threat to our state’s panthers. While some collisions cannot be prevented, driving posted speeds in panther crossing zones can be a true life saver, especially at night.
You can help help raise awareness and funds for panther conservation while enjoying limited time panther-themed craft beer offerings at “Brew for the Zoo” hosted by Kaleidoscope Beer Company in Naples on Saturday, April 19th from noon to 10. Free Naples Zoo tickets will be given away every hour during the event. 100% of proceeds benefit efforts for panthers in the wild.
The event takes place all day at Kaleidoscope Beer Company located at 987 3rd Avenue North on Saturday, April 19th.
Beyond support for panthers in the wild which these funds are dedicated to, Naples Zoo operates a temporary Florida panther rehabilitation facility. In addition, their on-site Glass Animal Hospital and full-time veterinary team provides diagnostic and treatment facilities for injured and orphaned panthers to receive emergency aid followed by ongoing support from a few days to a few months by the zoo’s professional animal care staff. These efforts are supported by Naples Zoo operation’s budget made possible by visits by daily guests and zoo members. Since 2014, the nonprofit Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens has invested over 4 million dollars in saving plants and animals in the wild and fully funds the annual salaries of 27 field staff in seven countries including three wildlife veterinarians.
